Scholarship for Chapter Dependents
The BVCPA established a scholarship in the Spring of 2011 for the children of chapter members. The Chapter will award another such $500 annual scholarship for 2012-13, with the winner chosen from qualified applicatants.

Congratulations to our first recipient, Matthew Smock. Matthew is the son of chapter members Mark and Cathy Smock.
Scholarship for Accounting Students
The Chapter contributes $2,000 each year to the Texas A&M University Accounting Department to be awarded to two accounting students.
This year’s recipients are Jonathan Fann and Taylor Spencer. Both Jonathan and Taylor are junior accounting majors from College Station. Our Chapter was represented by Lyn Kuciemba at the annual Accounting Department Awards Banquet and had the opportunity to meet these fine young people. We appreciate the assistance of Jeannie Barrett and Jim Benjamin.
